The Gift of Mi Alma

When grievers are gifted a Mi Alma page, they’re given something many going through loss don’t realize they’re missing and may not know how to find - centralized support.

A Mi Alma page lets friends and family share condolences, stories, pictures, videos, and more. This helps preserve a loved one’s memory in a way that’s organized and easily accessible forever.

Capture Memories

A digital place for the stories, pictures, and memories. Learn about your loved one through the eyes of those who knew them.

  • Helpful Prompts

Avoid common, redundant condolences by providing pre-loaded prompts. Grievers want to know about your relationship with their loved one. Tell them.
  • Various Content Types

Our loved ones lived dynamic lives. By capturing their stories and memories in various formats, a broader narrative will begin to take shape.

Organize Support

The flood of support–even well intentioned–can be overwhelming for grievers. Support Registry allows grievers to set their needs and change them over time as they evolve.

  • Funds

Provide clear direction to all supporters, whether directly requesting funds to cover necessary expenses or donations to specific causes in honor of the deceased.
  • Food & Groceries

Bring order to the chaos by allowing supporters to easily contribute to Meal Trains or third-party meal and grocery support.
  • Volunteers

If needs arise that are not financial or food-related, grievers and supporters can coordinate with those who can give their time and energy.

Improve Communication

Reduce the chaos of multiple chat groups, text threads, and repetitive questions by creating one line of communication.

  • Messages From Family

Efficiently communicate memorial service information, updates, and requests with your village of supporters.
  • Collaboration Link

Word travels fast. Collaboration links shield grievers by informing their community where to find important information, share memories, and provide support.

How it Works

Pre-paid Mi Alma pages are available for immediate use through the generosity of others.

  • 1. Create

Create a page to celebrate your lost loved one. If financial assistance is required, a community fund of pre-paid pages is available.

  • 2. Setup

Based on the timing and preferences of the family, pages can be set up by entering basic information about the deceased and then customizing the Support Registry.

  • 3. Share

By sharing the unique Collaboration Link with friends and family, the grievers can learn about their loved ones through the eyes of those who knew them.

Reimagine how we remember those who have passed. Offer a new type of collective support for those experiencing loss.

What They're Saying...

We’ve introduced Mi Alma to thousands of grievers, supporters, spiritual leaders, hospice providers, non-profit organizations, hospital staff, corporate executives, grief counselors, therapists, and others. Here’s what a few of them had to say.

"Maintaining connections with your person who died is critical to a child’s and family’s grieving process. Mi Alma has been a gift to Kate’s Club families as it allows them to do this in their own way and on their own timeline."
"As a widow and mom, my biggest fear is that our two young kids won’t know how special and loved their father was. Having a Mi Alma page to collect pictures, stories, and more is comforting knowing my kids will know and feel a sense of connection with their father."
"Navigating grief and loss can be such a lonely experience. Mi Alma offers a wonderful way to signal to our employees we support them in the moments that matter in their lives-- especially the more difficult ones."
"Building a Mi Alma page for my husband Scott gave my family and friends a place to share their favorite memories of him. What started as a special moment they shared with him has become a collection of photos and stories that make up a digital tapestry of his entire life. I love to learn about him through other people’s eyes and be reminded of the impact he made. Mi Alma is the gift where Scott’s legacy will never fade."
"Mi Alma has done a beautiful job of creating an empathetic way to create remembrance pages. I created a page for Skylar and sent it out to close friends and family. Seeing the beautiful moments they shared moved me to tears. Before Mi Alma, I didn’t have a way to invite people to contribute those pictures of stories in one place. Now we benefit from having those memories."
"One of the unexpected and rather heartwarming elements that emerged from my use of Mi Alma occurred after I shared the link with my family. Their responses to my invitation were gracious, and my sister selected some of her favorite photos of my dad, which in turn started a lovely set of exchanges between us about what we remember about Dad and how we remember him."

Grief is universal. Support starts here.

Mi Alma mobilizes communities to memorialize legacies and support anyone that’s experiencing the loss of a loved one.
